Amsterdam Central Station is undergoing a real makeover. On the Zuidkap, we have already painted some 50,000 m2 of wood and steel and installed 25,000 m2 of new bird protection last year. Now it’s the North Cap’s turn! Ten painters are climbing the scaffolding every day to apply a new paint system to the steel structure and wood roof sheathing. Then some 20,000 m2 of new bird guarding will also be applied to the north end – and then the station will be ready to last for many years to come!
