The 50-meter tall Westerlicht lighthouse stands in Haamstede and is one of the largest lighthouses in the Netherlands. Built in 1837, this monumental tower of the Department of Waterways and Public Works is located in a green oasis of peace and nature.
A nice anecdote is, that the lighthouse was used as inspiration for the former 250 guilder banknote.
Our plan of action received the highest EMVI score. This score is based on efficient work with minimal inconvenience to this beautiful environment.
The work in brief:
Chromium 6: Remediation of coatings containing chromium 6.
Steelwork: The steelwork and paint system of the light house will be sustainably repaired.
Stony: 1100 meters of stucco layer will be blasted. A new coat of stucco will then be applied.
Duration of Work: The work will be performed in a planned time frame of approximately 2.5 months, depending in part on weather conditions, among other things.
