From 1992 to 2003, we performed this work exclusively for ProRail throughout the Netherlands. Due to changed regulations, these projects are now commissioned after tender. In 2007 we still have the largest market share in the Netherlands. Not so surprising when you consider the demands placed on people and organization.
Although this work is performed on a leash, people should definitely not have a fear of heights. Our company employs people who have been doing this work for more than 20 years. Safety in the workplace is the most important thing. No expense is spared. No trains run during the painting work and the overhead wires are de-energized.
Because trains cannot run, painting work must almost always be done s’nachts.
