Van der Ende has restored the Hague Hollands Spoor station’s paintwork to its original glory on behalf of ProRail. This successfully concluded the project that lasted about a year and a half.
Festive inauguration
Raymond van Barneveld and President-Director Marion Gout-van Sinderen of ProRail put the finishing touches on Tuesday. To celebrate this moment, travelers were handed out coffee, tea and muffins.
750 brushes
After a year and a half, 10,320 liters of environmentally friendly paint, 750 brushes, 800 meters of sandpaper, 1,200 meters of masking tape, 60 kilograms of putty and 31,000 man-hours in total, more than 40,000 square meters of wood and steel have been painted. The work is finished. The fresh coat of paint accentuates the monumental appearance and architectural features; the station has been restored to its former glory.
