Commissioned by Prorail, work has been underway since June 2004 to preserve the platform roof of Lelystad NS Station. In 80 days this station received a major refurbishment.
The construction was finished in various signal colors. To reach the construction parts, most of which are above the track, Mobuco Steigers B.V. of Vlaardingen placed scaffolding over a large part of the platform.
During the implementation of this project, train traffic to and from Lelystad continued as usual. Naturally, all necessary measures were taken to ensure that passengers were as little inconvenienced as possible by the work.
