When one of our clients in Europoort asks us to blast more than 4300m2 of tank bottom within a very short time frame… we deploy several machines. In this situation, the existing tank lining is removed from the bottom by blasting to a cleanliness of SA 2½. These blasting machines offer many other advantages besides speed. For example, the amount of waste is reduced by over 90% and thanks to the extraction system, all the blasting dust, paint and corrosion residues are immediately extracted and stored for disposal. The steel grit is recycled and reused. Here, the blaster has given way to an operator, who can control the entire installation with a joystick. Project blasted and provided with 500µm solvent free tank lining. Protected against corrosion for 25 years again.
