[column]The newly built storage tanks at Oiltanking in Terneuzen are getting color, the gray color of the shop primer is giving way to fresh white. Now that the tanks and cups are almost finished internally, the progress of the work is also becoming visible on the outside of the tanks.
In recent months, a large group of painters has been working hard to preserve the bottoms and cups of the 10 newly built tanks. The bottoms and part of the wall of the tanks have been coated with tank lining from the Hempel company. [/column]
[column]Thanks to good cooperation between Hempel’s technicians and our applicators, a first-class piece of quality is delivered. The pouring off of the tank bottoms invariably results in a very low number of blow-throughs. The QC inspectors hired by Oiltanking also speak of an exceptionally low number. A big compliment for our performance!
The other parts of the tanks (outer wall, cup walls and roof) will also be coated with Hempel’s coating system.[/column]
[column] A good choice, as we are delighted with this first large-scale collaboration with this Danish paint manufacturer.
To get the project completed on time, work is being done in shifts six days a week. Despite poor weather conditions at the start of the project, work is on schedule. [/column]
