On behalf of the Department of Public Works, we recently repaired corrosion spots on both the lower and upper sections of the Algera Bridge.
The bridge is located on one of the busiest traffic arteries in our country, and is also close to a residential area. An approach with the least possible disruption to traffic and local residents was an important part of this EMVI-based tender. Van der Ende’s plan came out on top and we were awarded the work. Part of the contract was to perform the superstructure of the bridge during the nights, with a (partial) closure of the bridge.
This interim maintenance allows the bridge’s major maintenance to be delayed for many years to come.
