Commissioned by Technobeton BV, Van der Ende is currently performing repair work on the preservation system of the Papendrecht bridge. From the inspection truck under the fixed bridge, the main girders are being stripped of corrosion, after which these parts will be provided with a new preservation system. The main girders on the underside of the bascule bridge and the main girders in the bascule basement are also being treated in this way.
The work has a lead time of about 3 months and is part of a larger work contracted to Boskalis by the Department of Public Works.
