Maintenance work on the Scharberg Bridge is entering its final phase. And not without a struggle. This is because we have encountered a particularly stubborn layer in the coating. The coating is causing a significant delay in the blasting process. And right now everything is being pulled out of the closet to get the maintenance completed this year.
This results in working six days a week, 12 hours a day. And grit consumption is over 86% higher than anticipated. Normally, such a setback results in an enormously longer lead time, with all its consequences. Van der Ende only needs a maximum of 2 months longer construction time to deliver the project.
