The head is off! Last week we completed the first part of a wonderful assignment. In 4 months time we provide a super tank at the BP refinery Europoort entirely with a new preservation system. First of all, the immense tank roof with a diameter of 88.4 meters was treated. That will last for years to come. We grit-blasted more than 8,000 m2 and provided it with a multilayer epoxy system. With 8 gritblasters and finally 3 paint sprayers with supporting teams, we worked extremely hard to get this done. Meanwhile, with great energy, we started on the 23-meter-high tank jacket and in November the bottom will follow. We are gritblasting this using innovative electric blasting machines, saving no less than 300 tons of grit waste!
