As of June 7, 2000, KBR Staalstraalbedrijf at IJmuiden was incorporated into a new operating company under the name KBR Staalstraal. as a 100% subsidiary of Van der Ende Beheermaatschappij B.V.
The company, KBR Staalstraal B.V., which is located on the Cornwallstraat in IJmuiden, has a production facility greatly expanded in 1997 for the steel blasting and preservation of the most diverse steel structures on a total area of 5,000m2.
Besides steel blasting, KBR Staalstraal B.V. supported by Van der Ende Straal- en Schilderwerken B.V. will further specialize in the field of warranty contracts and maintenance of parts conserved in the blasting shed. In addition, a production department will be developed to apply metallic coatings.
This acquisition creates a combination of blasting and preservation companies with a clear advantage; bundling of versatile techniques, knowledge and experience with all conceivable equipment to provide customers with the best possible service.
