At a festive gathering on May 14, 2004, the multi-year contracts with Nerefco’s house contractors (BP/Texaco joint venture B.V.) were signed. The contractors are: Mourik Services, Jacobs Nederland, Imtech, Cleton, R&M Spreeuwenberg, Peinemann and Van der Ende Straal- en Schilderwerken.
With this choice, Nerefco took a step in the right direction to ensure the reliability of the installations. The advantage of multi-year contracts is the mutual willingness to invest in continuous improvement. The agreements are set up as a bonus/malus system. Good performance in terms of health, safety, environment, quality and efficiency is rewarded.Working with permanent partners, who support each other in achieving the objectives, fits into the Nerefco Refinery’s vision of the future.
In addition to the signing of the Evergreen Contract, the joint HSE plan of Nerefco and all house contractors was also approved. Based on this plan, Nerefco and the house contractors are working together to take safety concerns to the next level. Ambitious health, safety, environmental, quality and efficiency targets were set for all parties. Thanks to the bonus/malus system, achieving the targets results in an attractive bonus. However, if they are not achieved, a malus follows.
