On March 10, Richard Dräer, whose responsibilities include Van der Ende’s KAM policy, was able to take delivery of the keys to the company’s first electric car, an Opel Ampera. With the commissioning of this car, the company is another step closer to achieving its goals in terms of reducing CO2 emissions. The car emits only 27 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
With the delivery of the new car, two electric car charging stations were also put into operation at the office.
These charging points are powered by electricity generated by wind energy, one of the cleanest sources of energy today. Visitors to Van der Ende can use the charging points free of charge to charge their electric vehicles. In this way, we can also contribute to a better environment outside the borders of our company.
About the choice of the Ampera, Richard tells the following: “When I started looking for another car, it was clear that it had to be one that fits within our vision of sustainability.
After weighing several alternatives, I ended up with the Ampera. A car that not only scores very well on emissions, but also drives well and looks good to me. Not unimportant to me because I am a car enthusiast.
As the person responsible for KAM policy, I like being able to set a good example with this car. An added bonus is that there is no additional tax liability for this car. This is an extra reward for taking good care of the environment”.
