During the festive opening of the new safety center at the BP Refinery Rotterdam, the Van der Ende team was surprised with the presentation of the “Believe in Zero” safety award. From the hands of Roland Edelenbosch (manager HSSE), Fred van Meeteren and Erik Suijkerbuijk received the award and the accompanying letter of congratulations from Tufan Erginbilgic (CEO Downstream). Van der Ende had been nominated from within the BPRR organization for this international award. The motivation for the nomination includes the following:
The team has an outstanding safety record with no recordables nor first aids over a prolonged period of time (> 3 years), is always active in recognizing and reporting unsafe situations, and the team is consistently ranked as number one in the quarterly Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire. The categories that are assessed with this questionnaire are safety, quality, skills, work process, cost and innovation.’

With such words of praise, we cannot but be incredibly proud. It is proof that our vision regarding cooperation with clients and our policies on safety, health, quality and the environment actually result in satisfied customers….
