LNG Maasvlakte – Conservation during turnaround
During the Turn-Around in 2012, Van der Ende performed large-scale conservation and fireproofing maintenance on the LNG Maasvlakte. A team of 60 certified specialists blasted and conserved over 13,000 m² in four months. In addition, 56 heavy columns were fitted with Chartek 1709 fireproofing, significantly increasing the safety of the installation. An impressive project carried out with precision and craftsmanship!

A rock-solid team
With some 60 certified blasters, painters and sprayers, over 13000 m2 were blasted and conserved in 4 months, including the roof of the Gashouder D204 (with its 54-meter height an imposing structure), the Methane Island, the Peakshaver, the storage liquid area, pipeline lanes, structural parts, valve locations and fuel lanes. Stopaq/polyester was also applied to various risers.

In addition, 56 heavy columns in the liquefaction layer have fireproofing, the “Chartek 1709” with a layer thickness of 5200 dld um.
