One of the longest (Length 1.2 km) and oldest riveted railroad bridges in the Netherlands. In the 1960s provided with a so-called flintcoat. A tar-like fairly hard coating sometimes up to a centimeter thick.

Application of 3-layer coating system
The underside consists of approximately 42,000 m2 of steel. Of this, approximately 12,000 m2 had flint coating. This coating was removed by high-pressure water 2,000 bar. After this, the 42,000 m2 of steel was further de-rusted and roughened and provided with a 3-layer coating system.
