Pretreatment is essential

Brush application

Roller application

For larger areas, the roller is used, which ensures fast and even distribution of the paint system. Depending on the type of coating and the desired result, different types of rollers are chosen.

Spray application

In spray application, paint is atomized in a fine mist using compressed air or high pressure and applied evenly to the surface. This ensures quick application and an even finish with no visible streaks or set points. There are several spray techniques available. Which spraying technique we recommend depends on the application and the desired layer thickness.

There are various spraying techniques including air spraying, airless spraying and electrostatic spraying. At Van der Ende, we apply airless spraying in particular.

Advantages manual application (brush/roll application)

Little shielding required

Unlike spray application, brush or roller application has virtually no overspray. This means fewer measures are needed to shield the surrounding area.

Lower paint consumption

With manual application, paint is applied directly to the surface with minimal waste. Less material is lost to spray or atomization, resulting in more efficient consumption of paint.
