Technique Wet Blasting

Wet blasting, also known as wetted blasting, is a sophisticated surface treatment technique in which water is added at or inside the nozzle to a stream of air containing blasting media. This method is particularly effective for removing contaminants such as rust, paint, mill scale and other unwanted layers where dust and potential sparking must be reduced. Applicable to steel, concrete and other hard surfaces.

Compressed air with blasting medium and water

The addition of water at the nozzle causes the dust to be bound, thus releasing relatively very little dust and abrasive into the environment outside the collection area. The result is a clean and rough surface, ideal for further treatment or coating. Because the dust is bound and does not spread further, this technique is also very suitable for removing paint residues containing harmful substances such as Chromium 6, Lead and PAHs without dustproof shielding measures and where the intended paint system allows a cleanliness level with some degree of fly rust.

Experienced professionals, state-of-the-art equipment

Van der Ende offers high-quality wet blasting services, performed by our team of experienced professionals and supported by state-of-the-art equipment. Whether cleaning steel structures, concrete surfaces or other hard materials, we have the expertise and resources to complete any project competently and safely. Our wet blasting equipment utilizes the latest technology, where water is precisely added to the blast stream, resulting in a thorough cleaning without the drawbacks of large-scale dusting that often occur with dry blasting.

Perfect surface cleaning

Our specialists are trained to apply wet blasting safely and efficiently, resulting in the appropriate level of cleanliness and required roughness without creating dust emissions outside the collection area. Moreover, we can tailor our services to your specific project requirements, whether it is large-scale industrial cleaning or precise surface treatment.

Benefits Wet Blasting

1

Dust reduction

Adding water to the jet stream binds the dust, providing a degree of dust control that requires more limited shielding measures than dry blasting.
2

Effective cleaning

The combination of abrasive with water ensures over alternative techniques such as water jetting that the required surface roughness that the paint system to be applied can be created.
3

Versatility

Wet blasting is applicable to a wide range of materials and surfaces, such as steel and concrete. Wet blasting technology is readily applicable where the process water and spent abrasive can be collected.
