The conservation touch-up activities on the slides and the pillars of the Oosterscheldekering was traditionally done by crane and working cage with all the associated risks. In order to work more safely, we have developed a platform / low-lift platform especially for this work, which is equipped with all necessary safety measures. In addition, it is possible to manoeuvre at height in confined space with the control from the work platform. As a result, parts that were not accessible with a crane and a working cage are suddenly within reach, without causing damage to the object. With the stricter regulations for working with crane and working cage (see link below), it confirms that we have taken a good step in developing this machine.
