SCHARBERG BRIDGE READY FOR THE MOST CHALLENGING PHASE
Each project is a challenge. That also applies to the more than 350 m long Scharberg Bridge in Elsloo in Limburg. The work progresses as anticipated phases 1 and 2 are now completed: half of the more than 45,000m2 steel of the bridge has been completely newly conserved. The fresh green colour gives the bridge a natural look. The railing construction of phase 3 is now under way by applying the paint system.
At the part of the bridge over the Juliana canal, we will build a scaffolding again in phase 4. That is the most challenging phase of the project. Scaffolding to the bridge should not obstruct the passage. That reduces the space for the scaffolding. We managed to make a design with a very capable scaffolding builder which made it possible that work to the bridge does not hinder navigation. No small feat!
