Start of work on Oosterbeek railway bridge

Work on the railway bridge at Oosterbeek has now started. Going all out, work is to be carried out through the weekend of April 16 and 17 in order to make use of the first major withdrawal from service of 52 hours. In that weekend crucial activities will be performed on the arch of the bridge. These activities are only possibly when there is no train traffic.

The 1st bridge span is currently fully kitted out with scaffolding, floor and wall screening. Internally it resembles a veritable ballroom where the painters will commence their work as from next week.

The aim is to at least complete the North Span and the entire arch this year.
