TENNET GIVES VAN DER ENDE ‘GREEN ASSIGNMENT’

Grid operator Tennet has appreciated our initiatives to certify sixteen pylon painters. This has led to, after a limited tendering procedure, a project of twenty pylons in the south of Limburg has been commissioned to Van der Ende. The work area is surrounded by the beautiful nature of Limburg.

We currently provide an area of over 6000 m2 of heavy detachment with a new two-coated chlorinated rubber paint system. Each pylon body requires 1000 m2 gauze. This way we capture 99.9% of the paint particles falling off, which we then remove with mobile vacuum cleaners.

The members of the Van der Ende crew are true mountaineers and climb through the pylon body with double fall protection. Painting at lonely heights surrounded by nature is labour-intensive, but great work, say the experienced Van der Ende painters in interviews.
