‘VCA-Petrochemie’ and environmental certification for Van der Ende

At the beginning of July, DNV Certification conducted a (re)certification audit at Van der Ende for ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and VCA Petrochemie 2008/5.1. Following a very successfully run audit, QHSE Manager Richard Dräer (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) was able to take receipt of the new certificates on July 2.

VCA-Petrochemie
Van der Ende has set itself the target of being a leading company when it comes to working safely. The certification under the new and severer ‘VCA Petrochemie’ 2008/5.1 was therefore a       logical next step for our safety management system. Van der Ende is the first Dutch painting company to be certified to the latest VCA-Petrochemie 2008/5.1 norm.

ISO 14001 Environmental certification
Concern for the environment has always been an integral part of our QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety &
Environment) care system. However, it had not yet been changed into a certification according to ISO 14001. At a time when concern for the environment is an increasingly important issue, we chose to have this aspect of our QHSE care system certified as well. The achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification makes it even more demonstrable that for Van der Ende, care for the environment is of paramount importance.
