STATION BUILDING OF 1891 HANDLED WITH RESOLVE

Van der Ende returned the paintwork to its original condition at the station Den Haag Hollands Spoor, commissioned by ProRail. This successfully ended a two year project.
A lot of material was required for this project: 10,320 litres environmentally friendly paint, 750 brushes, 800 metres abrasive paper, 1200 metres masking tape and 60 kilos filler. In 31,000 man hours a wood and steel surface of more than 40,000 m2 was painted.

PROJECT DELIVERED FOUR MONTHS EARLY

The fresh coat of paint emphasises the monumental look and architectural features. The station was returned to its former glory and is a striking landmark to be proud of in The Hague.
An important element of the contract between ProRail and Van der Ende was the total responsibility of the latter for the project: from design through to complete execution. The result proved to be a big success, all the more so as we could deliver more than four months early.

NUISANCE FOR RAIL TRAFFIC AND PASSENGERS REDUCED TO A MINIMUM
